No there are no upfront payments. You only pay if you like the work.
The amount of time required to complete your store depends on multiple factors. But there are few basic scenarios:

First we finalize the scope of work and freeze the requirements. This includes the design and development requirements. Once done, we share a project plan with you with milestones and their deadlines.
Design (if needed)
If custom design is needed, we generate the design using Figma and share that with you for your approval. The design is finalized once you approve it.
Theme Selection (if no design)
If custom design is not needed, we share templates with you based on your requirements. You can select from them and then we start the development.
Development
Once design is finalized, we start the development work and keep you posted via your preferred channel of communication.
QA & Testing
Once development is completed, we do a round of QA.
Client Review
Once QA passed, we send it over to you for your review. Development work is closed after your approval.
Product Upload
We start uploading the products alongside their data that you provide us with, to your store.
Handover
After you have reviewed the products, we hand over the store to you and you can easily manage it yourself.
